Rainer Schnaitmann
Rainer Schnaitmann decided late in life to give up studying architecture in favour of viticulture. Since 1997, he has been the 19th generation to cultivate his family's vineyards at altitudes of up to 450 metres in Fellbach in the wine-growing region of Württemberg. His vineyards on the edge of the Stuttgart valley basin and in the Rems valley consist of calcareous marl and sandstone weathering; his preferred varieties are Pinot Noir, Riesling and Lemberger. Since 2013, the winery has been certified organic, the involvement with biodynamics a logical consequence
„Keeping the senses awake so that you can produce sensibly.“
Rainer Schnaitmann is a respekt member because he believes that life is too short not to share experience and participate in experience.
